The Krewe of Pandora is the newest all-female Mardi Gras Krewe in Jefferson Parish. Founded in 2015, the krewe staged its first parade in February 2016 and had an amazing ride! After
taking 2017 off, the new krewe staged its second parade on February 11, 2018 with all the fun and pageantry that comes along with Mardi Gras.
More than just a parade, the Krewe of Pandora hosts different social events
Women from across the country have now inquired about joining this fun and friendly group. Ladies 18 and over who are looking for something fun and unique to do with their female co-workers, family members, and friends have the opportunity to join this krewe while spots are still available and while Pandora is still young. Many krewes end up with waiting lists when memberships swell and not everyone inquiring can be placed on a float.
More than just a parade, the Krewe of Pandora hosts different social events throughout the year that are optional for members to attend. Members get to meet new friends and have a fabulous network of sisterhood way before the day of the ride. The Krewe of Pandora’s signature throw is hand decorated glittered boxes. These special treasures for the revelers to catch is always a great excuse for members to get together for decorating parties.
Women-owned businesses and companies who employ many women have also incorporated riding in the Krewe of Pandora as incentives for productivity. Corporate sponsorships and group rates have become a popular way for women to get to enjoy some fun with their girlfriends as a reward for a job well done.
There really is no better feeling than riding on top of a float and being a “rockstar” for a day. Everyone screaming for you is an unbelievable feeling that just can’t be put into words. Riding in a parade is a wonderful experience that all women should get to do at least once!
