NEW ORLEANS — A Kenner native, school teacher and current resident of New York City will reign as Lady Pandora II for the Krewe of Pandora’s 2018-19 season. Ashley Ledet is a 2010 graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and has never missed Carnival.
“I was brought up on king cake and the zest for life that shines through the family fun, traditions and culture of the Mardi Gras season,” Ledet said. “I am humbled to be among the fierce females in my life who have served as Mardi Gras royalty before me.” Ledet is dedicating her reign as Lady Pandora II to her friend Katilyn Pitfield, the late Queen of Little Rascals XX.
A 2014 graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ledet earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and, despite living so far away, has stayed active in New Orleans Mardi Gras traditions.
“I was always taught ‘the more the merrier,’ and there’s no time of year that that’s truer than Mardi Gras,” Ledet said. “If you’re a lady looking for a fun time and friendship, I hope you will join us in making lasting carnival memories as we ‘Party with Pandora.’”
Ledet is the daughter of Mrs. Amy Walker and Mr. Scott Ledet; the stepdaughter of Mr. Brian Walker, Sr.; and the fiancée of Miss Dominica Bianconi.
As the final parade on Sunday, March 3, 2019, Pandora will roll at 6:30 p.m. Preceding Pandora will be the Krewe of Athena at 5:30 p.m.
